Rachael Appoh and Ursula Owusu ‘fight’ over Ebony’s vote

Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Rachael Appoh and current Minister of Communication and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Ursula Owusu-Ekuful- despite being in opposite parties that don’t agree- seem to have found agreement in their concern about the political benefits accruing to them if the late Ebony had not died and are each claiming the late sensational musician belongs to their ‘side’.

“Ebony told me that she will campaign for me in 2020.” Rachel Appoh told Kofi TV in an interview on the occasion of Ebony’s birthday and One week memorial event organized by her family at St. Martin De Porres School at Dansoman in Accra.

The former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, disclosed a conversation she had with the late Dancehall artiste few weeks before her unfortunate death when she extracted Ebony’s commitment to campaign for her on the NDC ticket.

Communications Minister and Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful on the other hand eulogized dancehall artist Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng popularly known as Ebony Reigns adding that she herself had also lost one vote with Ebony’s death, which is a worry for her to lose a valuable vote in the elections“.

Many Ghanaians, especially social media users have criticized the duo, especially the Communication Minister, for their highly insensitive remarks when they should have been seen to be fully sympathizing with the bereaved family without any political comments.
