Kotoko opponent for Sunday arrive in Accra

Asante Kotoko’s opponent for Sunday’s Confederation Cup – first preliminary round match, Club Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA) have arrived in Accra from Brazzaville, Congo.

Their Asky Airline flight touched down at the Kotoka International Airport at exactly 1:25pm.  They set off from the Congolese capital to Lome, Togo before landing in Accra. They were met on arrival by Asante Kotoko’s Accra Representative, Thomas Boakye Agyeman.

They will be heading to Kumasi to continue their preparation for the game which will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko have not gone beyond the second preliminary round of either the CAF Champions League or the Confederation Cup in their last three attempts – counting from 2013.

In all instances, the Porcupine Warriors were eliminated by less fancied clubs from Liberia and Algeria. This time, the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led administration are bent on putting in place the right plans to see the fabulous boys making it at least to the league stage of the competition.
