Hearts of Oak set to sign Benjamin Agyare

Accra Hearts of Oak are on the verge of announcing the capture of Heart of Lions lanky defender Benjamin Agyare.

According to SportsObama, the Capital-based have agreed to break bank to sign the stalwart guardsman on a transfer fee around Gh¢ 110,000.

Agyare's transfer fee to Hearts of Oak becomes a record fee to sign a defender in the club's history.

Coach Frank Nuttall wants to strengthen his squad with the 24-year-old following the departure of Vincent Atingah and Robin Gnagne.

He is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Phobians if he passes his mandatory medical on Friday.

Hearts have already signed Christopher Bonney, Richard Baidoo, Benjamin Kotey and Theophilus Jackson.

He clinched eight Man of the Match awards in the second-tier league and guided Heart of Lions to finish second last season.

Agyare made 28 appearances for Heart of Lions in the 2016/17 GN Bank Division One League season.
