Experienced coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin says that he harbours no regret over his time with the team and indicated he would be a happy man should he leave the job.

According to the burly trainer, his record with the team will linger on the minds of people for many years after developing several players since take over the reins six years ago as well as leading the team to finish runner up in the AFCON and World Cup tournament.

“Before I was appointed, the Starlets were not even making it to Africa, let alone the world tournament, but all the three occasions that I was there, I was able to qualify the team to Africa and finally to the World Cup,” Fabin said.

The former Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach also listed the grooming of some young players who were now playing for the senior national team, as some of his major achievement.

“I groomed some six players, Lawrence Ati Zigi, Nicholas Opoku, Yaw Yeboah, Thomas Agyepong, Gideon Waja and Zakaria Mumuni — players from the first Under-17 squad that I groomed, who are all playing for the senior national team and local Black Stars, and any coach can be proud of that,” the coach stated.

He appeared to have been shown the exit following reports that Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has taken over the dugout.
