Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has called on Ghanaians to support Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko ahead of their respective Africa campaign.

Aduana Stars will be the sole representative of Ghana in this year's CAF Champions League after clinching last term's Premier League.

The Fire Boys will play as guest to Libyan side Al Tahaddy in the first leg of the preliminary stage of the competition on Saturday, February 10, in Egypt, due to shaky political situation in Libya.

Meanwhile, the Porcupine Warriors, who earned their place in Africa's second-tier club competition after winning last season's MTN FA Cup, will welcome Congolese side CARA Brazzaville to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, with the aim of taking a healthy advantage at the expense of their opponents ahead of the return encounter in fortnight time.

And during an interview with Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM 100.7, Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, implored Ghanaians to back the two sides to make the nation proud on the continent.

"I entreat all Ghanaians to rally behind Aduana and Kotoko because they are representing Ghana so they can make us proud," Appiah urged.

"I will ask the playing body to keep their focus especially Aduana as they are playing away," he deduced.
