Land, 200 bags of cement for Aduana players

The owner of Aduana Stars, Dormaahene, Nana Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II, has promised the playing body of the club 200 bags of cement to each if they are able to make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

The bankroller disclosed this when the team presented the Super Cup they won last Sunday to him. Aduana Stars beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium to win the trophy and two days later, they presented it to the club owner.

”Any player who will help the club to do well in the Champions League will be honoured including the technical team” said Nana Agyeman Badu II. “Any player who will kill himself for Aduana Stars to reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League will be given 200 bags of cement each” he added.

”It’s not only that, we have good plans for you, which we have put in place to help you, those of you who need land here, it will be given to you free of charge. I’m behind you and Dormaaman is behind you. Go and make yourself and the people of Dormaa proud”.

Aduana Stars will face Libyan side, Al Tahaddy in the CAF Champions League, first preliminary round match. The first leg will be played on the weekend February 9-11, 2018 in Egypt Alexandria.

The Dormaa side are returning to the continent’s flagship inter-club competition since 2011. Then, they suffered an early elimination by Moroccan side, WAC after losing 3-0 at Casablanca and winning 1-0 at home. El Tahaddy are coming back to the CAF competition after 40 years. Their last appearance was in 1978.
