Bishop Agyin-Asare speaks about his teenage years

The founder and leader of the Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare, has revealed details about life as he was growing up. 

The man of God who is about to mark his 35 years in ministry, revealed that he became a Buddhist at a young age and practiced it for four years. He added that he was also engaged in drug abuse and womanizing. 

According to him, these actions were born out of a desire to explore all aspects of a life, and as a result practiced as a Nishanshu Buddhist for 4 years. Very few people in Ghana, he noted know about and practice Buddhism in Ghana. 

He explained that he his venture into the religion was borne out of a desire to discover the true God, and as such he practiced as a Buddhist when was in secondary school form 4. Explaining further his choice of the religion, he claimed that "I was exploring,

 I think that there was something inside me that wanted to know the true God and I think I finally found him in Jesus." 

Describing his experience, the man of God added that "anything I did or I do, I do it with everything inside me. When I did drugs, I will rise up a great while before day and do it, when I practiced Buddhism I did the same, when I met Jesus I have done that for the past 38 years".
