Amos defends Kotoko Africa squad

Skipper of Asante Kotoko, Amos Frimpong has whipped up support for Polack’s Africa squad, saying the 26 players chosen are not as “weak” as sections of the public have described.

Steve Polack and his technical team submitted a 26-man squad for Kotoko’s 2017/18 CAF Confederation campaign but some pundits have critiqued Polack’s squad as not having a lot of strength in depth thus cannot stand the high demand of the competition.

However, speaking on Silver FM in Kumasi, the right back clearly holds a contrary opinion on the subject “I’m aware of the talk describing our Squad as weak and can’t perform. I don’t want to believe that. My philosophy is that teamwork always surpasses everything. Some teams could have individual brilliance but won’t be able to gel but in our case, we’ve teamwork and that’s our asset” he said

“With our fans offering their maximum support and rallying behind the team through thick and thin, nothing can stop us from making a huge impact”.
