MELCOM HAS DONATED TO MEDIA

Melcom the leading and convenience super market centre,has been in Ghana for  good services over decades.

Today MELCOM has shown tremendous effort for donating some items for a group of media houses who have contributed to development of Ghana.

*Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) received two (2) 40" Digital setilight Tv and two (2) decodes

*Ghana News Agency received two (2)chairs and two (2) printing machines and IFEJ also received Five box water and some biscuits.

Jamyonline had an interview with Mr. Godwin Avenorgbe the (Director of Communication of MELCOM GROUP) And he explained that, "The MELCOM GROUP is committed to improving quality service through the implementation of environmentally friendly business Standards including safety procedure at the work place,training of staff and provision of incentivisation package to boost the morale of all our hard working staff who have been loyal to the cause of MELCOM as trusted General of TEAM MELCOM. "

He said," it is the workers of the Melcom Group of companies that make it possible for the sustainable services we reader to the communities in which we operate in particular and the collective national good.

We honour our Drivers, Cleaners,Parkers,Sale Assistance, Marketers,Designers,Merchandisers,Technicians, Engineers, Accountants and Managers."

According to him,we are grateful for the support Ghanaians have given us from all fronts and in all sectors of our business and we pledge to continue to improve on our services to make shopping a pleasurable experience at all MELCOM shops nationwide.

We are committed to the maintenance of same price for same products sold in all MELCOM shop everywhere in Ghana regardless of cost of transportation and overheads .Melcom maintains the policy of uniform pricing in all regions of Ghana as our contribution to improving living standards."

He continued by saying that,in spite of the competitive Media landscape featuring numerous Radio,Television, print,online, Magazines and other practitioners in Ghana work under very difficult conditions."

We are hopeful that in the next year, positive measures will be take to improve media practice to engender Media freedom and access to information, improved conditions of service not just for key staff but for the generality of journalists because it is team work then gives birth to the publications we read ,listen to and watch on the various media platforms.

Melcom associates with the Ghana Journalist Association, for the GJA AWARDS ,the institute of Financial and Economic Journalists for the IFEJ flamingo awards and the Ghana News Agency, GNA who are recipients of our end of year token donations,he said.

In conclusion, Mr.Goodwin Avenorgbo said,"The fourth estate of the realm must unite to become a voice of the voiceless, strong enough to ask for justice in case of denial, interrogative enough to expose ills in society and help find remedies and Ethical enough to play it fair all the time by getting it right."
