I love NDC because i grew up in James Town – Mzbel

Controversial musician and love of the National Democratic Congress, Mzbel has debunked claims that she was paid during the 2016 electioneering campaign to campaign for John Mahama.

According to the actress she did everything she did out of her own volution and was not given any money for what she did.

She indicated that the money she had from the party was the song she composed for the party but apart from that all she did was out of her own funds.

The songstress who was speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM said “I bought my own car. I composed a song for the National Democratic Congress and they paid me. I was contracted by the late Mr David Lamptey, who unfortunately passed on before I could show him the song. I submitted my song to the party office, they loved it, made me change a few things in the song and they paid me”.

Mzbel indicated that her love for the National Democratic Congress emanates from the fact that she grew up in James Town everybody is a member of the National Democratic Congress.

“Truthfully, I am an NDC supporter. I grew up in James Town and most of the people there support the party…I love the party and I am comfortable with it.”
