Olivejoy Concept joins Swedru people in National Sanitation Day

Olivejoy Concept, Organisers of the 2017 Miss Akwambo festival on Saturday joined dozens of people in Swedru in a clean up exercise to mark the national sanitation day.
Speaking in an interview with Jammynewsonline on the sidelines during the exercise, the General Manager, Mr. Godfred Bopkin said most premature death could have been averted if society attached much importance to sanitary conditions.
 He said’’ If we continue to clean our environment and not just on only on national sanitation days  we will have good health, sicknesses would be reduced, premature death would be reduced and also reduce the pressure on our Doctors.

He mentioned that Olivejoy Concept as part of their corporate social responsibility drive decided to join the community to embark on the cleaning exercise to help ensure that the community becomes clean before and after the Akwambo festival. ‘’We all know that cleanliness is next to godliness and so we cannot sit and watch as we are operate here, anything that affect the community affect us also.’’ He emphasized.
Mr. Bopkin lauded the organisers for a successful exercise and assured the community of the company’s participation in similar events

 Rev. Emmanuel Coffie 
 A member of the Agona West Municipal Assembly, Rev. Emmanuel Coffie said despite impressive turn out by the people in the area, the Assembly will continue to  educate residents to enable them understand and participate fully in such exercise of national importance.
The clean up exercise brought together the chiefs, members of the Assembly, national service personnel and various groups within the municipality.
