John Terry signs for Aston Villa.

Former Chelsea skipper, John Terry has joined Championship side Aston Vila on a free transfer.
He signed a one-year contract with Villa on a £60,000 a week wage.
Having been released by the London based club after his contract run out, Terry, 36, will be playing football in the second tier of English football.

Terry rejected moves to other premier league clubs siting the pain of playing against Chelsea, a club he spent 22 years of his career playing for, as something he could not bear.
“The mental side of playing against Chelsea was too much to get over for me. I was there for 22 years at the football club. I am very proud of that but this is a new chapter in my life and career.” Says Terry.

On his preference to Aston Villa, Terry cited the facilities, stadium and history of the club as the highlights if his decision.
There are fantastic facilities at Bodymoor Health, Villa Part is one of the finest stadiums in the country and there’s a good group of players here, with an experienced and successful manager in Steve Bruce.
Aston Villa Manager, Steve Bruce hailed Terry’s fitness, declaring he was happy to work with Terry.
“We’d have love to be signing him when he was 26 not 36! But physically, he’s in fantastic shape for someone his age
