Germany crowned Confederation Cup champions

European giants and tournament favourites, Germany have been crowned Champions of the 2017 Confederations cup in Russia.
Germany beat Chile in the finals of the competition yesterday with a Gladbach striker, Lars Stindl scoring the only goal in the final.
Skipper of the side, Julian Draxler was pleased with his sides performance in the tournament and felt they deserved to be champions.
“It was a heated contest given how the cup was ridiculed beforehand. We fought and deserved to win.”
The Confederations cup is a tournament that precedes the World cup every four years.
