Bimbilla community hospital workers appeal to Government for accommodation Bitambo//

Some nurses and doctors at the Bimbilla community hospital at the Nanumba North district in the Northern Region are appealing to government to provide them accommodation to enable them   discharge their duties effectively as health professionals.

Anonymous source from the hospital disclosed to JAMYonline that the issue of accommodation at the hospital has always been a problem especially to the newly posted workers.

“It is a very serious situation at the Bimbilla community hospital, this is due to inadequate infrastructure especially for the Doctors and nurses.   The management always have to come in to help these workers.”

The source indicated that newly posted staff are usually supported with two years rent advance payment. ‘’

Most of the nurses and doctors live in rented houses in town where the hospital always do it’s best to help some new workers by supporting them to pay their first two years rent advance to ensure the wellbeing of the staff”

The landlords sometimes may not be willing to rent the apartment anymore after two to  three years and can decide not to tell the tenants for them to search for new places to rent on time.  This unbearable situation always compel the nurses to start searching for new places unprepared.

The management of the hospital is therefore appealing to government to come to their aid.
