 World Vision Ghana had a press briefing entitled “End Child Marriage Now: It takes us full campaign”. The program was held at their head office at North Kaneshie in Accra.

Mr. Dickens Thunder, the National Director of World Vision Ghana said, they are launching this campaign to create awareness to inform and educate Ghanaians of their mentality concerning early child marriage.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Dickens opined that, Government should implement policies to curtail the numerous challenges facing the Ghanaian child.

Ghanaians should concentrate on developing knowledge and skills of the children rather than pushing them into early marriage which according to statistics are becoming alarming, he added
The children who get married are below the ages of 15-18 and this can affect them psychologically. Parents should not put their children into early marriage, he advised.
