Pellegrino Takes charge of Southampton

Southampton have appointed ex-Liverpool player, Mauricio Pellegrino as their new manager.
The Argentine has signed on a three-year deal, replacing French manager Claude Puel.
Pellegrino will be tasked with getting the Saints back into the top six of the premier league next season.

Claude Puel was sacked after reaching the Emirates Cup final and finishing 8th in the league.  Something the owners felt was an under achievement for a club like Southampton.

Pellegrino now face a big summer ahead with the Saints likely to lose key players like Van Dijk and Bertrand to other Premier League rivals.

Another squad overhaul is expected and new faces will grace the St. Mary’s Stadium come August when the 2017/2018 English Premier League kicks off.
