MP DONATES TO MUSLIMS

 Honorable Gifty Twum-Ampofo

Member of parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency , Honorable Gifty Twum-Ampofo, who is  also the  deputy minister for Gender, Children and Social protection has today donated assorted  food items to Muslims in her constituency.
The items include thirty (30) bags of rice, thirty-nine (39) bags of sugar, ten (10) boxes of cooking oil, four (4) cartons of Milo, two (2) boxes of milk, two (2) boxes Lele black tea and two (2) boxes of sardines.


Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo emphasized that, Ramadan is a period of spiritual contact with Allah therefore all hands should be on deck to smoothen the process including political figures. She further cautioned the youth to be mindful of jubilations after the fasting to avoid any atrocities. The deputy minister used the occasion to advice parents to take good care of their wards who have completed Basic school so that they can enjoy the free Senior High School policy by government.


Receiving the items on behalf of the Muslims in the constituency, Imam Alhassan Yahaya , Akim Kukurantumi Imam, blessed the donation and thanked the MP for such gesture. He therefore called for unity among all religions in Ghana to enhance national development.
