Leaked Garcia report shakes the integrity of Russian and Qatar World Cup bids.

German Newspaper, Bild, have published extracts of top-secret reports into Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 World Cup bidding process.
The 420-page document by former United States attorney and Fifa’s Chief Investigator, Michael J. Garcia, shows the bidding process may have been influenced by some Qatar Football Association and other officials of the Qatar Government.

The extract, stated that Qatar Football Association sponsored a trip to a party in Rio, Brazil for three members of the Fifa Executive Committee which voted for Qatar prior to the 2010 ballot.
The Garcia report also revealed that, £1.6 million was paid into the daughter of one Ex-Committee members account.

Thirdly, a contract was awarded in Qatar to one of former President, Sepp Blatter’s closest aides husband.

These findings however do not prove the right to host the tournament had been bought. According to the reporter who obtained the copy, Peter Rossberg. It only raises eyebrows on some benefits officials enjoyed prior to the voting.
