KWESI APPIAH OVERSEES GHANA’S FIRST VICTORY IN 2019 AFCON QUALIFIERS.

Ghana Blackstars starting IX against Ethiopia.

The technical team of the Blackstars of Ghana led by James Kwesi Appiah couldn’t ask for anything more as his side cruised to a convincing victory over the Wallias of Ethiopia in the 2019

African Cup of Nations today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
An impressive performance from the Blackstars saw them beat the Ethiopians by 5:0 at the full 90 minutes with goals from skipper Asamoah Gyan who recorded his 50th goal for country, and John Boye recorded his fifth goal making him the highest goal scorer in the national team as a defender to make two for the stars.

Few minutes into the game saw a thunderous shot from Ebenezer Ofori after dribbling down from right flange of the pitch with his left foot to make it three before half time.

The second half was also encapsulated with some fine passes from the Blackstars as debutant Rafael Dwamena recorded a brace to make it 5:0 for the stars.

This becomes Coach Kwesi Appiah and his technical team’s first win in a competitive game and in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier as they top group F ahead of Sierra Leone on goal difference
