There have been incessant calls by various local movie actors and fans for Kumawood which has never ceased to amaze patrons by releasing movies relating to current happening in the country to spike that of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama.

Many including some prominent actors argue that releasing such a movie reminds the deceased family of the horrendous treatment meted out to the deceased which will not augur well for the nation which has described the incident as a bad one.

But popular Kumawood actor Akwesi Boadi aka Akrobeto who disagrees is all out for such a movie explaining that it will serve as education for the citizenry to refrain from engaging in mob injustice.

On  Peace Fm’s Entertainment review on Saturday, he expressed his readiness to back any producer who will nurse the intention of coming out with such a movie indicating that he would be available to play the character  of William Baah, the assemblyman who allegedly mobilized resident to lynch the soldier.

“Oh yes, I can play the role of that assemblyman…You know me already …I will play it perfectly and even better”, he assured.

There are still conflicting accounts as to circumstances what actually led to the death of Major Mahama a fortnight ago.

He was the platoon Commander at Denkyira-Boase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region

Whereas military command and police investigators claim he was going on jogging and stopped to buy snails from the woman who saw a sidearm on him and snitched the assemblyman who then mobilized angry residents to Lynch him, another account claimed he was invited to a meeting with a prior motive of killing him.

Over 50 suspects have so far been apprehended .The late Major was buried on Friday 9th June,2017 at the Osu Military Cemetery in Accra.
