Jorge Mendes in court over client’s tax evasion



Super-agent Jorge Mendes to testify in court over his client, Rademel Falcao’s tax evasion allegation.
Columbian International, Falcao, is alleged to have used a chain of shell companies in, among others, Columbia, Panama, Virgin Islands to evade taxes on image rights while playing for Atletico Madrid in Spain.

A total of €5.6 million on image rights income avoided by Falcao, makes him one of several clients of Mendes to be hit with tax evasion allegation by the Spanish authority this year.
Christiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho and Fabio Coentrao are other notable names in various tax evasion allegations.

Jorge Mendes will appear in Spanish Court, Pozuelo de Alarcon to assist in the investigation.
