“I JUST HAVE TO KEEP WORKING HARD” – RAFAEL DWAMENA.

Blackstars debutant, Rafael Dwamena says he feels he needs to keep on working hard to maintain a spot in the senior national team of Ghana (Blackstars) after the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier (AFCON) win over the Walias of Ethiopia yesterday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Dwamena, 21 in his first appearance for the senior national team announced his presence on the field with a brace (2 goals) against Ethiopia in the 49th and 58th minute respectively.

The FC Zurich forward after his performance believes it was a good thing for him to have scored on his debut for the country but remains unfazed by it as he focuses on working hard for the national team.


“It [Scoring a brace on debut] has been good, I just thank God for this wonderful opportunity and I just have to keep working harder,” Dwamena said.
The Blackstars of Ghana beat Ethiopia by 5:0 with skipper Asamoah Gyan recording his 50th goal for Ghana coupled with goals from John Boye and Ebenezer Ofori.
